Inwood Educators was founded by Jacob Inwood, a proud graduate of Columbia University, where he majored in Hispanic Studies with a Specialization in Economics. Jake began tutoring in his hometown of Millburn, New Jersey as a sophomore at Millburn High School, where he graduated second in his graduating class. Jake amassed an impressive collection and library of AP prep books and obtained scores of 5 on 12 AP courses. Jake has served as both an academic and SAT tutor throughout the New York City area; his students attended elite prep schools, including the Trinity School, Horace Mann, Columbia Prep, and Dalton.

What is your tutoring rate?

The hourly tutoring rate is $250 per hour for both academic and test prep tutoring.

How does college admissions consulting work? What about essay brainstorming and development?

Ideally, we begin to work with students at the end of 8th or beginning of 9th grade. However, we also work with students in brainstorming and crafting competitive essays, personal statements, portfolios, and passion projects.
